পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা ব্যানার্জি পশ্চিমবঙ্গ স্টুডেন্ট ক্রেডিট কার্ড স্কিম চালু করেছেন। এই স্কিমটি চালু করার সিদ্ধান্তটি 24শে জুন 2021-এ অনুষ্ঠিত রাজ্য মন্ত্রিসভার বৈঠকে নেওয়া হয়েছিল। এই স্কিমের মাধ্যমে 10 তম শ্রেণি বা তার উপরে অধ্যয়নরত শিক্ষার্থীরা উচ্চ শিক্ষার জন্য 10 লাখ টাকা পর্যন্ত ঋণ নিতে পারে। খুব কম সুদে তাদের কাছে এই ঋণ পাওয়া যাবে। এই ঋণের সুবিধা পাওয়ার জন্য, শিক্ষার্থীদের একটি ক্রেডিট কার্ড প্রদান করা হবে। এই ক্রেডিট কার্ডের সাহায্যে শিক্ষার্থীরা ঋণের পরিমাণ উত্তোলন করতে পারে। যে সমস্ত ছাত্রছাত্রীরা গত 10 বছর ধরে পশ্চিমবঙ্গে বসবাস করছেন তারা এই প্রকল্পের সুবিধা নিতে পারেন। এই স্কিমের অধীনে, ভারতে বা বিদেশে স্নাতক, স্নাতকোত্তর, ডক্টরাল এবং পোস্টডক্টরাল পড়াশোনার জন্য ঋণ নেওয়া যেতে পারে।

আবেদনকারীকে অবশ্যই পশ্চিমবঙ্গের স্থায়ী বাসিন্দা হতে হবে আবেদনকারীকে অবশ্যই পশ্চিমবঙ্গে কমপক্ষে 10 বছরের জন্য বসবাস করতে হবে এই স্কিমের জন্য আবেদনের ঊর্ধ্ব বয়সসীমা 40 বছর

Registration Process
- First of all, go to the official website of the West Bengal student credit card scheme
- The home page will open before you
- On the homepage, you are required to click on Student Registration
- The registration form will appear before you
- You have to enter the following information in the registration form:-
- Applicant name
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Aadhar number
- Program type
- Program name
- State of institution
- District of institution
- Name of institution
- Mobile number
- Email ID
- Password etc
- After that, click on the register
- Now unique ID will generate and it will send to your registered mobile number
- This user ID will use as a user ID for all future purposes

Online Application And Loan Sanction Process
- Visit the official website of the West Bengal student credit card scheme
- The home page will open before you
- On the homepage you are required to click on administrator login
- Now you have to select your user type
- After you have to enter your user id, password and captcha code
- Now you have to click on login
- A dashboard will appear before you
- Now you have to click on application pending option
- Now a new page will appear before you
- On this new page and MS Excel sheet containing all pending applications will be generated
- You can download it by clicking the download excel button which is present at the top right for class
- In order to view this application you have to click on view icon
- A new page will appear before you

- Pan and Aadhar of applicant
- Pan address proof of the co borrower
- Course fee details
- Proof of admission of the applicant
- Now you have to click on the application pending menu of the dashboard
- After that you have to click on sanction loan icon of a particular application
- From here you can either sanction loan or reject the loan by application on loan sanction or loan reject button respectively
If the loan is sanctioned
- If the loan is sanctioned then a new page will appear before you
- On this new page you have to enter the sanction amount in numeric and words
- Now you have to upload copy of sanction letter
- After that you have to click on submit
If the loan is rejected
- If the loan is rejected click on reject loan option
- Now we have to select the rejection cause from the drop down menu
- After that give benchmark for parameters in birds as per your bank norms
- After that you have to click on submit
